Congratulations to guest Dr. Burt Humburg – winner of the Coveted Golden Grog Award on the April 28th edition of The SoapBox Radio Show. Dr. Burt Humburg, an evolution advocate, debated Dr. Cornelius Hunter, author and proponent of the Theory of Intelligent Design. Both speakers were extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter, but Dr. Humburg ended up with 83.3% of the votes cast in Saturday’s online voting. Join Dr. Cornelius Hunter, Professor and author of the book Darwin's Proof: The Triumph of Religion Over Science as he squares off against evolution advocate Burt Humburg, over the theory of Intelligent Design on the Saturday, April 28th edition of The SoapBox Radio Show!


Burt Humburg is a resident in the Department of Medicine at Penn State University – Hershey Medical Center. An evolution advocate for years, Burt has previously served as board member of Kansas Citizens for Science and he attended most of the days of the Dover trial during the month of October 2005. He was invited to deliver a keynote lecture, which he titled "Belief, Politics, and the Challenges to Science in the Next Century," at a biology honorary conference early in 2006. He intends to pursue a fellowship in critical care medicine upon graduation.

Cornelius Hunter is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he earned a B.S and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering and the University of Illinois where he earned a Ph.D. in Biophysics. He is the author of the award-winning Darwin's God: Evolution and the Problem of Evil and its sequel, Darwin's Proof: The Triumph of Religion Over Science. His forthcoming book, Science's Blindspot: The Unseen Religion of Scientific Naturalism will be available later this spring.

Dr. Hunter's research interests include molecular biophysics, computational biology, and optimal estimation and control of nonlinear systems. Dr. Hunter's research interests in the theory of evolution involves both the scientific, historical and theological aspects of the theory.
