The Criminal Build Up

Last night I watched a video of lies made by Bush and Cheney during the build up to Iraq.

Remember the Yellowcake uranium? Remember the remote controlled airplane that could drop bombs on us? Remember the Sarin gas? Remember the mobile biological weapons units?

Now, more than 22,000 of our people have been wounded. More than 3,000 have been killed. Billions and billions wasted on the war while our borders remain insecure and our educational system is falling apart.

Bush and Cheney aren't men. They're draft dodging cowards. Criminals.

I am just curious if you really believe there is a terror threat? If you did, you would be debating how the war has been fought, not whether or not there should be a war. Do you really believe that if we never went to Iraq or left Iraq immediately that everyone would hold hands and sing kumbaya in the middle east? My guess is probably not. Dictators would continue to execute hundreds of thousands of innocents and terrorist would continue to prey on the West.
My main question to you is, What do you think is worth fighting for?
American's way of life and our lives are not, obviously, so what is?

How can you call it criminal when 77% of the Senate and almost 70% of the House voted IN FAVOR of military action. You can say "war is wrong" and accurately opinionated, but it's factually inaccurate to call it "criminal".

Contrary to the subject line of the last poster’s blog comment - there is nothing hilarious about this topic!

The callousness with which so many Americans look at death outside of their country never ceases to amaze and dishearten me. Is an Iraqi civilian’s life of any less value than an American life? I listen to people’s heartache over the 3,000 civilians killed on September 11th and the US Soldiers killed in Iraq but yet the civilian death toll in Iraq (which is at least 30 times that of 9/11) is barely mentioned in this debate - let alone in the mainstream media news. Why?

The constitutional threshold for going to war was made very high for a reason. Our Founding Fathers knew the danger and the dire consequences of foreign entanglements.

I would kill and risk my life in defense of my country – but I will not participate nor support unconstitutional “crusades” around the globe attempting to effect change – no matter how many flags you wrap around the idea and no matter how many times you chant “support the troops”! No soldier deployed in Iraq is fighting to defend THIS country nor are they fighting to defend MY freedom. If anything, you could argue that their actions are doing exactly the opposite!

Wow. what a bunch of utter malarchy. Draft dodging, eh? Seems to me Bush probably served more than you did I'm willing to bet. When did you last wear a uniform again? What were you doing the Vietnam war besides suckling from the teet?

Do I remember the Sarin gas? Yup, when we found the IED loaded with it. As a matter of fact over 2000 chemical weapons, along with numerous labs, have been found. Were they found in mobile units? No, our intelligence was wrong. That doesn't mean that Bush lied, it means the intelligence was bad. Get your story straight and at least start recognizing that these lies you keep trying to perpetrate are based upon facts.
