Drugs have proven to be one of the great scourges known to modern society. Drugs are responsible for not only the loss of life, but the loss of potential of so many people. Drugs are a great evil and warrant a considerable effort against their distribution, use and acceptance. It is true that the drug war could be more effective. It is also true that enforcement efforts result in unfortunate consequences. But legalization would not do away with these unfortunate consequences. In fact, legalization would likely exacerbate these unfortunate consequences, in addition to leading to great drug use.

Well which is it Sander: in fact, or likely?
I say it's not fact. In 1920s America plenty of people did time for selling booze when dope was legal. The "fact" is what's right and wrong is known; what's legal and illegal depends on which gang is in power.
Like every other prohibitionist, you're mistake is in placing the blame on the inanimate substance (or object), instead of on the human behavior, and CAUSE of the human behavior. Inanimate objects do not control human behavior; humans control human behavior.

Do you want your children to love drugs too?
